Grounded in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) principles, Our Goals go beyond just building schools. We construct learning spaces using recycled plastic blocks with our local partners in Indonesia. We recruit passionate English teachers to give underserved preschool children quality early education.
We also help our corporate clients implement sustainability initiatives that deliver real outcomes. This blend of CSR relationships and hands-on community development creates systemic change. Why Lombok?
In collaboration with our local partners, Our Goals selected North Lombok for our education projects because it was the hardest hit by the 2018 earthquake. This was confirmed by a major survey of the area’s schools. Even though things are improving, getting to schools there is still challenging, especially during the frequent torrential rain.
Teachers often have to work at more than one school in different villages, usually traveling by motorcycle. Our goal is to make things easier for them so they can shorten their travel time and concentrate on teaching.

As teachers at Our Goals’ schools, Indonesian women gain financial independence, serve as role models, and inspire change in their communities.
Our approach aligns with SDG 5 through empowering women and achieving equality of opportunity, starting with access to quality early education for girls.
Our Goals installs dedicated handwashing facilities with soap at all our schools in Indonesia. This promotes proper handwashing hygiene among students and teachers.
Frequent handwashing with soap helps prevent the spread of infectious diseases that can keep children out of school. We teach washing habits, especially before meals. This knowledge becomes engrained from a young age, improving health and well-being.
Our Goals support SDG 6 by facilitating access to safe water and sanitation.
Our Goals’ CSR programs create new jobs and skill-building opportunities in the communities where we work. When constructing new schools, we hire local workers, pay fair wages and have safe working conditions.
Our approach directly aligns with SDG 8 through job creation and vocational skills training. We empower Indonesian communities with pathways to decent work and income growth.
Our Goals promote sustainable infrastructure through our school construction projects and environmental initiatives.
We build new preschools using recycled plastic blocks made in Lombok, reducing the carbon footprint of transportation and removing around 4 tons of plastic waste from the environment for every school built.
By engraining sustainability in the infrastructure, we develop a sustainable mindset in students, Our Goals contribute to the ambitions of SDG 9.
Our mission directly aligns with reducing inequalities in education and opportunity. We expand access to early childhood education for disadvantaged youth by building schools in underserved Indonesian communities.
